"Thou to whose power our hope we give, Free us from human strife. Fed by Thy love divine we live,
For Love alone is Life; And life most sweet, as heart to heart Speaks kindly when we meet and part."

Pathways in the Bible
Searching, Exploring, Discovering Christ Jesus’ Scriptures

You’re invited to participate in this eight week series of classes beginning in February.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays in Berkeley or on Thursdays in Danville.

Jesus and the Old Testament: The Fundamental Laws of Life, Genesis though Deuteronomy.

• When Jesus was twelve years old, he was in the temple sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. -Luke 2:46
• Years later, as he was leaving his disciples for the last time, Jesus opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. -Luke 24:45

Instructor: Alma Gardner, Adjunct Faculty, Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, CA.

In these classes we’ll explore Jesus’ Scripture - the Old Testament – and
discover how the ideas that he learned, healed with, and taught, relate to
our lives. We’ll find how these ideas are expressed through stories,
themes, history, and the views of those who wrote the books.
